Step by step
These are the steps you need to take to start working with Ramnext as a taxi driver.

Go to any vehicle inspection station (Stacja Kontroli Pojazdów) and ask for the additional taxi inspection for ride-hailing apps. To pass it, your car should have a taxi lamp, a spare wheel or repair kit, a warning triangle, a fire extinguisher, a first aid kit and a high-visibility vest. You can order a taxi lamp on Allegro.pl, and the inspection costs PLN 64.

After a successful inspection, the vehicle inspection station will give you a certificate. Take it to the vehicle registration department (wydział komunikacji), where an official will add the TAXI annotation to your registration certificate.

You can have the taxi driver tests done at any occupational medicine clinic. Based on the tests, you will receive a medical certificate and a psychological certificate confirming that you are fit to work as a taxi driver.
You can get the medical and psychological certificates at the occupational medicine clinic (Medycyna Pracy) at ul. Spadochroniarzy 8 in Lublin. No appointment is needed. The cost of the examinations is set by law at PLN 350, and the certificates are valid for 5 years.

Go to any district court and apply for a criminal record certificate in paper form, because the electronic version is not accepted. The certificate costs PLN 30, and in most cities it is issued on the spot.

In Lublin you do not need notarised copies. We need the original criminal record certificate and photocopies of the other documents, which you bring to our office in person. You can make the copies on site.

The car is ready, so there is nothing for you to do with it: you skip steps 1 and 2 and do not need the registration certificate.

In Lublin, you bring your documents in person to the Ramnext office at ul. Różana 16/1A. We submit the taxi licence extract application and add you to the list of drivers on your behalf.

Register in the driver portal, then fill in and sign the contracts. Also download the rental agreement from the portal (Umowy tab → “Umowa najmu (Licencjonowanie)”), fill it in with the details from the registration certificate and sign it by hand. If a co-owner is listed in the registration certificate, they sign it too. If the car is leased, bring the first and last page of the lease agreement.

Bring to the office:3
The first set of documents stays at the office in case of an inspection by the city office. If you apply for extracts for several cities, now or later, this one set is enough - you do not need to prepare another set “for the office”.

City requirements
You can buy the full signage set at our office. To operate legally as a taxi in Lublin, your car must meet specific signage requirements. The city sets out exactly which elements must be on the car. Correct signage is not just a formality but an obligation checked by the Road Transport Inspectorate (Inspekcja Transportu Drogowego). Missing or incorrect signage can result in a fine and even problems with continuing to carry passengers. Below we show exactly what taxi signage in Lublin should look like.
The TAXI lamp is one of the most recognisable elements of taxi signage. It should be mounted on the roof of the car. The lamp is usually magnetic and, for app-based work, does not need to be plugged into the cigarette lighter socket.

Side numbers should be placed in the middle of the front right and left doors of the vehicle. In Lublin, side numbers have a set design with the city's coat of arms. They can be a sticker or a magnetic overlay - a popular choice among drivers that is also fully permitted.
